Maple Pecan Pie

  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt 1 cup Somero Maple Farm pure NH maple syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked, 8” pie crust*

Melt butter; add sugar, salt, maple syrup and eggs. Beat mixture with beater until well blended. Add the pecans, breaking larger pieces. Pour filling into pie crust. Bale pie at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes or until filling is set.

*Pie crust

  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 2 tbs cold milk

Mix together flour and salt. Pour oil and milk into measuring cup but don’t mix together. Pour all at once into flour mixture, stirring lightly until mixed. Form into ball. Place dough between 2 sheets of 12” clear plastic wrap or waxed paper. Roll out to edges of paper. Gently peel off top paper. Place over pie pan paper side up. Carefully peel off paper and fit pastry into pan. Trim edges ½” bigger around than pie pan, fold edges under, and flute or fork edges as desired.
